Justice Is Equal (JIE LLC.) was formed by several retired Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation following the death of George Floyd on May 25th, 2020. Our primary purpose is to address perceived systemic racism and criminal reform in the United States. JIE is further comprised of Retired Federal Polygraph Examiners experienced in administering the program and conducting the polygraph examinations. Assisting in the administration of this program are retired FBI managers and former military personnel. JIE is NOT affiliated with or influenced by any political party and/or lobbying group. The retired polygraph examiners administering this program are all Department of Defense (DOD) trained and certified. It is the belief of JIE that a program administered by federally trained examiners, not employed by or directly associated with the department utilizing the program, is a significant strength of the program further ensuring there is no public perception of bias in the examination process.

JIE has created a patented specific single-issue polygraph test to augment existing pre-employment background investigations conducted by police departments nationwide. Our test is specifically designed to determine whether law enforcement applicants harbor prejudices or biases against persons of any of the legally recognized protected classes and, if so, whether said candidates have committed acts due to or in furtherance of such biases. Our test is specifically designed to identify pre-existing racial or other biases against persons of a legally recognized protected class which may be held by a law enforcement applicant.

As retired law enforcement professionals, we have created a process available to law enforcement agencies that demonstrates a timely response to public calls for law enforcement reform. We see tremendous potential for our test to help identify those best suited to wear a badge.
